Department of operational modes and practice

• Increase of operational safety (introduction of system of estimation of operational safety level and estimation of technical condition of NPP, monitoring and estimation of the current safety level, the analysis and support of operational modes, development and support of rules, the operational documentation, etc)
• Improvement of system of the analysis of malfunctions of power units, data gathering and the profound analysis of malfunctions, development of actions on their prevention.
• Generalization of operational modes and development of actions on increase of a operation level

Department of new technologies and equipment

• Development and support of organizational and technical actions on introduction of new technics and technologies which are directed on increase of safety, operational readiness, reliability and an overall performance of power units.
• Support of works on development and introduction of new monitoring systems, managements and diagnostics.
• Support of works on development and introduction of progressive repair technologies.

Department of reliability and resource

• Management of resources of equipments and systems, development and support of programs of an estimation of a technical condition and reassignment of service life of equipment.
• Support of metal research on a resource of reactors cases, metal of the basic equipment and pipelines, coordination of performance of programs, tests of samples-witnesses;
• Gathering and analysis of the data on reliability of the equipment and systems, engineering support of works on qualification of the equipment
• Performance of the technical and economic analysis and calculations, development of programs and engineering support of works on continuation of service life of power units

Department of radiating safety and ecology

• Development and scientific and technical support of perspective programs in the field of the reference with radioactive waste products
• Development and scientific and technical support of performance of programs on maintenance of radiating safety, modernization and introduction of new systems of the radiating control
• Scientific and technical support of works under the prevention of negative action of the atomic power station on environment and increase of ecological safety
• Decision of scientific and technical problems under the management of the fulfilled nuclear fuel and highly active waste products after processing of fulfilled nuclear fuel
• Technical, economic and engineering support of questions on removal from operation of power units of NPP.

Department of radiochemical technologies

• Improvement of chemical technologies, development and support of new water and chemical modes, methods of chemical clarification, passivation, deactivation of the equipment, schemes and technologies of clarification of the heat-carrier, water-preparation.
• Development of industry norms of water and chemical modes of NPP systems, development of techniques of the control of a water and chemical mode and chemical reagents.

Department of scientific and technical policy

• Support of preparation and realization of industry scientific and technical policy which is directed on safe and effective operation of power units of Ukrainian NPP, scientific and technical support of strategic and perspective programs of development of atomic engineering
• Substantiation of a choice of a perspective nuclear reactor for power of Ukraine, the organization of researches, improvement of legal base and support of licensing of new projects of nuclear plants.
• Coordination of interaction with institutes of the National academy of sciences of Ukraine and other scientific organizations with the purpose of attraction of highly skilled experts and use of the unique laboratory and bench equipment for carrying out of applied researches, and also the decision of the high technology problems in atomic engineering

Department of physics of a reactor and use of fuel

• Performance of neutron-physical calculations, carrying out of examinations of technical decisions, reports, the settlement documentation which is connected to operation of active zones and a substantiation of the next fuel loadings, the analysis and ordering of results of operation of active zones of reactors, preparation of organizational actions on elimination and the prevention of infringements in the current operation of active zones of reactors, reception of settlement codes, development of technological calculation.
• Increase of safety and efficiency of operation of nuclear fuel, introduction on NPP of perspective fuel cycles and technologies of the work with nuclear fuel, engineering-scientific support of questions of introduction and use of new kinds of fuel.
• Development of the normative documentation regarding safe handling of the fresh and fulfilled fuel.

Department of the safety analysis

• Engineering-scientific support of works under the safety analysis of NPP (an estimation and reassessment of safety, the probable analysis of safety, support of changes and modernizations of the project regarding an estimation of their influence on safety, etc.)
• Support of works under the program of introduction risk-guided of approaches at operation, maintenance service and repair.
• Maintenance of performance of settlement analyses, which are directed on a substantiation of safety and emergency reaction with application heat-hydraulic and probable codes.
